Close. On that day I was 13, and spending my summer in the Maine woods. A few years later a friend played Aoxomoxoa or Live/Dead for me when it came out, and I didn't like it at all, having had my taste formed by the Beatles and AM radio. It took college, Workingman's Dead, and American Beauty to win me over, but the Dead have been the soundtrack to my life ever since.
